Your privacy
Last updated 20 October 2026
In short: this site has no cookies, no analytics or tracking, no adverts, no sign-up and no forms. I do not collect personal information through it. Everything on the site, including the fonts, is served from the site itself.
Who I am
grantanthony.co.uk is my personal website: my photography, and my books at grantanthony.co.uk/books. This page covers both. I am Grant C Anthony, based in Scotland, and I am responsible for this site. You can contact me at gcanth@gmail.com.
When you visit
- Hosting. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, run by GitHub. When you visit, GitHub logs your IP address and stores it for security purposes. I do not have access to these logs. See the GitHub Privacy Statement.
- Settings saved in your browser. If you use the "On the wall" preview, your choices (room, wall, frame, size, lighting and so on) are saved in your own browser so it is the same next time. The lessons you have read and your best quiz scores are saved the same way, so you can pick up where you left off. None of this leaves your device or is sent to me. "Reset progress" above the lessons clears your progress, and clearing this site's data in your browser removes everything.
The photographs
Photographs are re-saved when I upload them, which removes the location and other information embedded in the original camera files. The camera settings shown beside each photograph are read from the file at upload; location data is never read.
Some photographs show people in public places. If you appear in one and would like it removed, email me and I will take it down.
The books pages
The books pages work the same way as the rest of the site: no cookies, no tracking and nothing to sign up for. The soundtrack is generated live in your browser when you press play; nothing is downloaded, recorded or sent anywhere. The fonts and book covers are served from this site.
If you email me
I receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. I use your message only to reply to you. I do not share it, sell it or add you to any mailing list.
Links to other sites
Links to Instagram take you to a site run by Meta, which has its own privacy policy. This site does not embed Instagram content or share anything with Instagram when you visit.
Links to buy a book take you to Amazon, where Amazon's own privacy notice applies. Nothing is shared with Amazon unless you follow a link.
Questions
If you have a question about anything on this page, or want something removed, email me.
Changes
If the site changes in a way that affects this page, I will update it and the date at the top.
